At Music World we are committed to respecting your privacy.

We will keep your information safe, never misuse it and never pass it on to other companies. This privacy policy explains how we collect and use personal information.

General Data Protection Regulation

In May 2018, a new EU regulation came into force – The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR raises the standards by which data privacy is measured. Music World takes your privacy extremely seriously and makes every effort to follow the new rulings of GDPR. We will never contact you for marketing purposes without your express permission.

Secure Payment

When you place orders or access account information, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection laws, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access.

All our website financial transactions are handled through our payment services provider. Payments through the Music World website are taken via Global Iris, HSBC’s online payment processing system. Global Iris is Global Payments’ online payment processing solution. HSBC Merchant Services has changed its name to Global Payments.

What type of data do we collect?

We collect personal information (PII) such as your name, postal addresses, email address, phone number, purchase history and browsing behaviour. We store this information when you place an order with Music World or submit your data to us (using a web-form or a newsletter sign-up form).

Disclosure

Because PII is particularly sensitive, we’re also particularly careful about how it’s used: we never, ever share or sell PII (or any data for that matter) to any other business.

Commitment to Data Security

Your data is held in accordance with our data protection registration notification. When you place an order on this website, we consider the information you enter as private. The information is kept on a secure server protected from outside parties.
